Texture & More Texture!

Last year I repurposed a "peachy oil painting" that someone was discarding. I turned it into a scenes with birch trees. It never felt quite finished to me, so this year I took it off the wall and added more mixed media elements to bring it to life with more texture. I forgot to take a true "before" painting, so here is the original painting with my first layer of texture added:

Here is the piece as it now stands - I love the freedom of layering texture upon texture!

Is it done now? Who knows? Maybe more will be added a year from now - or it could be transformed into a whole new mixed media piece by then!
